Murder Suspect Waives Preliminary Hearing Tuesday

Aimee Herring, 29, of Mtn. Home, Ark., one of two women charged with the murder of Phillip Taylor at the Roadside Park north of Ava on Sept. 10, waived her preliminary hearing her Tuesday and was bound over to circuit court to stand trial.

She will be arraigned in circuit court on Nov. 7, according to Prosecuting Attorney Chris Wade.

Sheriff Chris Degase said April Dawn Quick, 32, also charged in the same crime, will appear for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 23.

Brandon Wood, 18, Ava, was sentenced to three years in the Department of Corrections for violating his probation. He was on probation for tampering with a motor vehicle and burglary. He received three years on each charge, and the sentences will run concurrently.

Robin Collett, 30, Ava, was senteded to three years in the Department of Corrections for possession of methamphetamine on two separate cases.
