PUBLIC NOTICEOF SURFACE MINING APPLICATION
RENEW PERMIT
Kevin L. Reed, Rt. 1 Box 52, Mtn. Grove, MO 65711, has applied to renew their permit from the Department of Natural Resources, Land Reclamation Commission, to continue to mine sand and gravel on 8.5 acre(s) of land located in Douglas County, Section(s) 14, Township(s) 26N, Range(s) 12E in Clifty Creek. This(ese) operation(s) will be conducted during the approximate dates of 6/21/2010 to 6/21/2040.
Written comments or a request for a formal hearing and/or an informal public meeting may be made by any person with a direct, personal interest in one or more of the factors that the Missouri Land Reclama-tion Commission may consider in issuing a permit as required by The Land Reclamation Act, sections 444.760 to 444.790, RSMo, or whose health safety or livelihood will be unduly impaired by the issuance of a permit regarding items such as permitting and reclamation requirements, erosion and silta-tion control, excavations posing a threat to public safety, or protection of public road right-of-way. If a hearing is held the Com-mission has the ability to consider if the applicant has demonstrated a pattern of noncompliance with other environmental protection laws and regulations administered by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

All comments and written requests for formal hearings and/or informal public meetings must be submitted in writing to the Director’s office within fifteen (15) days of the last date of publication of this notice.
