Highway Church of the Nazarene has announced it will be recognizing Ava High School athletes with special programs this month.
On Sunday, Oct. 10, the softball and volleyball teams will be recognized in the morning worship service, and will be served lunch immediately following the service.
On Oct. 24 a similar recognition will be held for football players and cross country athletes.
The athletes are invited to “wear your jerseys and jeans” for the day. Families of the athletes are also invited.
