Skyline School was the scene for fun, laughter and food for the descendants of the late Horace and Hazel Hall on Sept. 4.
After prayer by Rev. Robert Hall, a beautiful meal was served to the following:
Patsy and David Dickens; Juanita Shebiel; Bob and Michael Glen Shebiel; Lora Kay and Dwayne Davis; Sherry and Mark Blakey, Kelsey and Mark Weston; Karl Hall and Kathy Evans; Tanya and Michael Dixon, Cruz and Brittany; Boyd and Karen Hall; Robert and Melinda Hall, Hailey and Jaycee; Charlene Merritt; Verna and Shannon Willhaus and Tyler; and Dalton McFarlin, all from Ava.
Sue and Gale Goin, and Allie, from Oldfield; Verlin and Jackie Hall, Donna Rippee, Verla Jo and Jeff Cornelius, Josh and Jason, from Mansfield; Vicky and Chuck Toman, Casey, Kyle and Kerrie, from Keller, Texas; Phil and Tammy Matney, Tanner and Brooke, from Republic; Harold and Marcia Davis, Brooke and Adam Fruit, from Van Buren, Ark.; Chad and Laura Blakey, Springfield; Terry and Mike Louck, Festus, Mo.; Mike and Kayanna Shebiel, Rayanna and James Dale, St. Clair, Mo.; Michael and Amy Louck, Emily, Lilli, Jackson and Paxton, Des Moines, Iowa; Heather Kay and Matt Shaw, Logan and Kaylee, Salem, Ark.; Debra Kay and Ken Wise, Wichita, Kan.; Diana and Larry Elam, Goose Creek, S.C.; Brian and Jackie Wise, Abbie and Andrew, Lawrence, Kan.
Dale Hall was unable to attend because of an injury.
This was the first time several of the family had been together in quite some time. The afternoon was spent snapping pictures, looking at albums, and just having fun.
Several gifts were given. Oldest was Juanita Shebiel, youngest was Kaylee Shaw, and the one traveling the farthest were Diana and Larry Elam.
Several other gifts were given and an auction followed with Robert Wayne Hall doing the auctioneering.
There was talk of getting together next year but nothing definite was decided.
The success of the gathering was because of those who donated, helped, cleaned up and those who brought all the good food. Appreciation was also expressed to the Skyline School staff.
