Well its much cooler here on my hill. I guess I’m ready for fall, but I hope it last “all winter”. My sister said she had 42 degrees this Monday morning.
Tracy, Hannah and Devin Griffith came after me last Sunday after church and I stayed until Wednesday with them. Tracy had to go to Willow Springs for a teacher’s meeting on Monday and David was at a meeting in Jefferson City. We ate at Theodosia Tuesday night.
Ted and Karen Collins, Autumn and Blaine visited Ann Collins on Thursday. Ted mowed her yard for her.
Andy Daughtery of Grovespring, one of my step sons, called me one night a week ago and said he and Sharleen had gotten back from Canada. He said they had a terrible bad summer rain, many mosquitoes and etc., but he had won some field trials so it wasn’t all bad.
Janet and Katlyn Smith, Ann Collins and I all visited awhile Thursday evening with Agnes Williams and Karen Frederick.
My sympathy is extended to the family of Johnny Berry. He was buried Friday at Blanche.
Patty Stephens of Galena came down Saturday. We went to Rockbridge and ate lunch then she took me to Bev’s for a haircut.
We had 15 in attendance Sunday morning at Prior. Ginger and Willard Burch gave an anniversary offering, 41 years I think it was. Pauline Plummer was back. She had spent some time in the hospital. Esther Wrinkles has also been in the hospital for a few days. Get well wishes to them and also to Bill Emery and all others around who are not feeling up to par.
Agnes Williams and Ella May Daughtery accompanied Ann Collins home from church Sunday and ate lunch and spent the evening visiting. Bertha Scherer came down and visited also.
Happy birthday to my brother on the 28th.
Jamie Snodgrass of Moberly came after me Sept. 4 and I spent until the 12th in Moberly with Jamie, Devin, Bailee and Lauryn, was there for Bailee’s fifth birthday party, also visited with Debbie and Shelby Hutchison while there. I had a real good visit and still miss those great granddaughters.
I still have two or three little hummingbirds this morning, so I guess I’ll leave my feeder up a little longer.
