The annual flu shot clinic will be held at the Douglas County Health Department on Thursday, Oct. 7, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, by appointment.

Eligible clients include all Douglas County residents who are over 18 years of age and non-pregnant.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone as the first and most important step in protecting against this serious disease. The 2010-2011 vaccine will protect against three different flue viruses: an H3N2 virus, an influenza B virus, and the H1N1 virus that caused so much illness last season. The protection you get from the vaccination will last throughout the flu season.
