What a change in the weather from overnight Saturday to Sunday. I went from wearing shorts to fall clothes and went from sleeping with a fan to pajamas and a comforter. This Monday was a beautiful day for those who work outside while I sit here in my winter clothes. Our power was off this morning for two and half hours for some reason. My crepe myrtle is now in deep pink bloom and for the third time this year.
In spite of the cold weather, all was out for service at Seminole during the morning and evening. Our pastor, Don, was back preaching from James 5:1-6.
The Cunninghams returned home from revival in Montgomery, Alabama and received a pleasant visit from dear friends, the Don Riley’s from Kirksville, MO. They attended services this Sunday at Seminole. Gladys had the joy of speaking at a ladies meeting and also for the many honors for her 83rd birthday the church in Alabama gave here.
I have visited with Betty Chapman by phone. Her brother, Jerry Hall is in Cox South. He will be taken out of I.C.U. today she was told. Jerry has pneumonia. Our prayers are for him.
Amy Roberson is in need of our prayers. She is undergoing test this week.
