Breedon News

Hello to everyone and I hope this finds you all in good health. Several people are having sinus problems this time of the year.
I have to apologize for not putting the items in week before last. Modern technology is great unless you are like me. When you know just enough to be in real trouble. I had typed my items and I was reading through it and had misspelled a word so I went back to correct it and with a right click here and a right click there, it just disappeared.  I was like what, so I called Charley and he said to go to the bottom and bring it back up. I told him, “no, you don’t understand, it went back to your deer picture.” He said, “the deer picture.” “Well, it’s just gone,” I said and he said, “yes, you just erased it”, so that is what happened.
Services were opened this morning with Cub reading Psalms chapter 11, Trusting God. Lee led us in Sunday school from Matthew, chapter 17. Happy birthday was sung to Darrell Hampton who turned ?? See, Darrell I was good and I didn’t tell anyone. Happy, happy birthday!
Morning worship services was brought by Cub from Luke 9:44-54, about Jesus foretelling of his death and the disciples talking about which of them should be greatest. Jesus took a little child and set by him and told them, :Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.” So I took that as we are all equal, no one is better then the other. Cub went on to read about one casting out devils in Jesus’ name and the disciples forbid him because he didn’t follow them. And Jesus told the disciples…”Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.” I take this as everybody that is trying to do God’s work young, old, small, tall, white or of color as long as they are doing it for God and following God’s word not to turn them away. After all we all want to make heaven our final destination and we should all work together.
There are a few things that I need to tell you about, October’s Tag Team Preaching will be held at Goodhope Nazarene on west 76 highway the first Sunday in October at 7 p.m. Breedon’s monthly singing will be the second Friday night in October and the Breedon School Reunion will be October 9 at Breedon Church. Anybody that went or had brothers, sisters, moms or dads that went to Breedon School are welcome to attend.
Until next time, stay packed up, prayed up and ready to go when God calls us home. Remember Jesus loves you.
