Roy Hampton opened Sunday school by reading Genesis, chapter three, the temptation of Eve in the garden, to eat the tree.
I think in our daily Christian walk we have a lot of temptation and the devil tries to get us off the track, but we have to say, “Get behind me Satan, and stay strong for the Lord.”
Lee Hampton taught the adult class from Matthew 18, forgiveness for people that do things or say things against us.
We then had questions and answers and had more questions for next Sunday. It sure keeps you studying to get all the questions answered.
We sang happy anniversary to Roy Hampton and Carolyn for 35 years.
Roy Hampton led the offering prayer and a few people testified, while taking up the offering. We sang a few congregational songs and Susie Sisco sang a special along with Joe and Susie.
Joe preached from Matthew 24-15 and Daniel 11-12:25 and the 2nd chapter of Psalms. Joe led in prayer before preaching. We then sang for the invitational song. Roy Hampton dismissed in prayer. Some members had to preach at other churches, so we dismissed the Sunday evening service. Pray for each other and may God bless us all.
