The Douglas County Fox Trotter Horse Breeder’s Association would like to invite all trail riders to the second annual National Bob Burns Memorial Ride Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8-9, at the Bateman Ranch in the Mark Twain National Forest.
The Bob Burns Memorial Ride is a Missouri Fox Trotting Breed Association approved National Ride and riders of registered Missouri Fox Trotters can earn National Ride points for participating in this ride.
All horse breeds are welcome and encouraged to participate in the ride There will be two guided rides on Friday, Oct. 8 and Saturday, Oct. 9. Guided rides begin at 10 a.m. and at 1:00 p.m. both days. The ride is open to anyone who would like to participate.
A potluck cook-out will take place after the afternoon ride on Saturday. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks will be provided.
There is no charge for the ride or meal but donations will be accepted.
The Bateman Ranch area is located at the end of Bateman road off of the Glade Top trail in Northeast Taney County.
