The weather is getting cooler, but our club has plenty on the calendar to keep us up and moving to stay warm! Thanks to Dolores and Connie for running the concessions stand on Saturday. Unfortunately, we’ve been broken into and merchandise taken two different times now. This week, our sign from the flowerbed was found two streets away from the bed where it belongs. The cooler weather is apparently not a deterrent for some!
It’s that time of year when we have to confirm our club roster for billing and again this year we are losing members. We all hate to lose them, but it happens. Hopefully, it won’t be long before we gain more back than we lost.
As for upcoming events, Terrific Kids will begin on Oct. 11 when we will visit Ava Victory Academy at 10 a.m. and Ava Elementary at 2:30. Skyline and Plainview assemblies will be held Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
Oct. 9 Soccer Concessions,
Oct. 12 is the Chamber Luncheon held at Bethany Baptist Church.
Oct. 14 is the date set for our Officer Installation Dinner and Ceremony. That event will begin at 6:30. Spouses and family members are encouraged to attend. RSVPs are due by Oct. 12.
Oct. 16 Soccer concessions.
We will be doing concessions very soon at an auction for John Sutton but are not sure of the date yet.
Mark this date on your calendar! Oct. 28, our club is doing a Pizza Hut Fundraiser. We’ll be earning money for Christmas For Kids that night and may have another one or two before Christmas.
