The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams had another three-match week last week, playing Reeds Spring, Mtn. Home, and Mtn. Grove.
On Monday, Ava hosted the Wolves of Reeds Spring. Ava 7th grade beat the Wolves in a two game match, 25-16, 25-17.
In game one Kendra Walker served 9/10 and passed 4/4; Caley Wallace served 6/7 and passed 3/3; Bailey Loge and Hope Evans each passed 8/9.
In game two Caley Wallace served 5/6 and passed 3/3; Kendra Walker served 4/5 with one ace serve; Bailey Loge had 2 ace serves and passed 11/12; Hunter Shelton passed 5/5 and Katelyn Walker served 2/2.
The girls played an extra 25-point game which Reeds won 25-23. Emily Dougherty served 5/5; Katelyn Walker served 5/6, Molly Henderson and Amy Haynes each served 2/2 and Billie Haden passed 3/4.
Ava 8th grade lost to Reeds Spring in a three game match. Ava won game one 25-22, lost game two 15-25, and lost game three, 21-25.
In game one Alena Stokes was 3/3 serving and 9/10 hitting; Callie Eubanks was 6/6 setting; 11/13 hitting and 12/12 passing; Destiny Sparnicht was 4/4 setting and 7/7 passing; Lakota Blakey was 11/12 hitting and 9/9 passing.
In game two Callie Eubanks was 4/4 serving and 6/7 passing; Alena Stokes was 4/4 passing; libero Maddie Guill was 3/3 passing.
In game three Callie Eubanks was 5/5 serving, 6/6 passing and 5/6 hitting; Lakota Blakey was 2/2 serving 6/6 passing and 3/4 hitting; Alena Stokes was 2/2 serving; Destiny Sparnicht was 6/6 hitting, 4/4 setting; and Shelagh Orcutt was 3/4 hitting.
On Tuesday the 28th, Ava was host to the Bombers of Mtn. Home. Ava 7th grade beat Mtn. Home in a two game match. Ava won game one 25-20 and game two 25-12.
In game one Kendra Walker was 7/7 serving; Bailey Loge was 3/3 serving and 7/9 passing she also had 5 sets and 2 hits; Hunter Shelton was 2/2 serving and had one hit; Caley Wallace was 11/12 passing she also had 4 sets and 2 hits; Hope Evans was 2/3 serving, 1/1 hitting, and 8/9 passing; libero Allison Welch was 3/3 passing.
In game two Caley Wallace was 8/9 serving, 4/5 passing and 2/2 hitting; Kendra Walker was 3/3 serving; Haley Barker was 4/4 passing and had one hit; Bailey Loge was 3/3 serving and 4/4 passing.
They played an extra 10-minute game with Mtn. Home which Ava lost 18-19. Katelyn Walker was 3/3 serving; Molly Henderson and Cheyenne Plaster were each 2/2 serving and Emily Dougherty was 2/3 serving and 5/5 passing.
Ava 8th grade fell to Mtn. Home in a three game match. Ava won game one 25-15, and Mtn. Home won games 2 and 3, 25-23 and 25-15.
In game one Calli Eubanks was 5/5 serving, 4/4 passing and 7/7 setting; Shelagh Orcutt was 4/4 serving; Destiny Sparnicht was 4/5 serving, 3/3 passing, and 3/3 setting; Brandee Cutbirth was 2/2 hitting and Lakota Blakey was 2/2 serving and 7/9 passing.
In game two Callie Eubanks was 12/12 serving, 6/6 passing and 13/13 setting; Destiny Sparnicht was 12/13 passing and 7/7 hitting; Lakota Blakey was 13/13 passing; Alena Stokes and Brandee Cutbirth were each 7/8 passing and Maranda Yost was 4/5 hitting. In game three, Destiny Sparnicht was 5/5 serving and 12/12 passing; Lakota Blakey was 9/9 passing and 6/6 hitting; Callie Eubanks was 2/2 serving, 10/10 setting and 8/8 passing; Brandee Cutbirth was 5/5 passing and Josie Kjar was 1/1 serving and 4/4 passing.
The girls played an extra 10 minute game which Mtn. Home was leading 15-14 at the end of 10 minutes. Tailer Stofer and Dylan Wright were each 4/4 passing, Dylan was also 2/2 serving; Megan Barnes was 3/3 passing and Dusty Graham was also 3/3 passing.
On Thursday the Panthers from Mtn. Grove came to Ava. Ava 7th and 8th grade beat the Panthers in two game matches. Ava 7th grade beat Mtn. Grove soundly 25-17, 25-10. Ava 8th grade played very good volleyball and beat a strong Mtn. Grove team 25-23, 25-17.
For the 7th grade game one Kendra Walker served 7/8; Caley Wallace served 5/6 with 4 ace serves, passed 3/4, set 4/4 and hit 3/3; Bailey Loge passed 4/4, set 4/4 and hit 2/2; Hunter Shelton served 2/2 and Katelyn Walker served 2/3 and passed 2/2.
In game two Haley Barker served 11/12 with one ace serve and passed 3/4; Caley Wallace was 2/2 serving, 2/2 passing, she set 4/4 and hit 2/2; Bailey Loge passed 2/2, set 3/3 and had one hit; and Hunter Shelton served 4/4 and passed 2/2.
For Ava 8th grade in game one, Brandee Cutbirth served 6/6 and passed 10/11; Callie Eubanks served 6/6, passed 15/15, set 12/12 had one kill and 2 tips; Destiny Sparnicht was 6/6 hitting with 3 kills and had 4 tips; Alena Stokes was 11/12 passing and had one kill; libero Maddie Guill was 3/4 passing and Lakota Blakey had 2 hits.
In game two Alena Stokes was 5/5 serving with one ace, 12/12 passing and she had 3 kills. Calli Eubanks was 4/5 serving, 12/12 passing, she set 13/13 had one hit and 3 tips. Destiny Sparnicht was 4/4 serving, and 8/9 passing. She set 6/6 and had 2 kills and 3 tips.
