Last Week’s News-
Sunday morning service was opened with prayer and songs of praise. Welcome was extended to everyone.
Bill and DeDe Arington and Candy Lane did a beautiful job of singing a special.
Brother Roberts brought the morning message from James 2:1-9, “ Treating People Right.”
Sunday evening message was, “Think on Positive Things.”
On Saturday evening the McCunes were at Walnut Grove Church and did some awesome singing. Gary and Bevy Moore were asked to join them for a song.
Along with the singing, the Walnut Grove Church did a BBQ with all the trimmings. We appreciate Tony and Linda Stillings for doing the BBQ, also, all the people who brought all the side dishes to share. Good job, Church.
Gary and Bevy Moore stopped by our house after church Saturday evening and had some blueberry cobbler.
Visiting Bob and Nora Edwards this week were Shawn, Miranda and Alexis Swearengin, Toby Sheppard, Jacinda Edwards, Shelden Walker, Cody and Ryan Breshears.
My Uncle Hugh and Aunt Violet Morris had a surprise visit on Monday when their two sons and wives, Howard, Donna, Herb and Judie Morris and grandson, Lock Morris, Great Grandson, Garon Morris, and Kathy Teeters all showed up at the nursing home for a nice visit.
Vern and Kathleen Deatherage came down one evening and had supper with us then Kathleen and I made a skirt.
Delmar and I went to the Breshears-Hylton Reunion on Sunday afternoon then we went on to Mansfield to visit with Keith and Donna Bannister and Shawn, Summer and Caidence Johnson.
We were blessed with a new arrival of a little girl for a neighbor on Sunday evening. Little miss Mylie Elizabeth Hamby arrived at 3:27 P.M. She weighed in at 7 lbs. and 7 ounces and is 20 inches long. I believe she has a good set of lungs because I could hear her while I was on the phone with Mike. Mamma and baby are doing fine, Thanks to God answering prayers.
Remember, “Never treat anybody in a different way according to their outward appearance.”

Tillie Fowler sang such a beautiful special. We appreciate you, Tillie.
We were pleased to welcome two new babies to our congregation Sunday morning, Little Miss Miley Elizabeth Hamby and Little Mister Ethan James Burton. They are both beautiful babies.
On Thursday, Mary Mackey, Joyce Erickson, Hazel Jackson, Nora Edwards, Maxine Lund, and Margaret Rosseau, met at Pizza Hut for lunch and to celebrate three birthdays with Mary, Joyce and Maxine. We all enjoyed a good lunch and good visiting.
Joyce Erickson and Arleen Henningson went fishing on Monday (didn’t say whether they caught any fish or not). Spending Friday night with Al and Joyce Erickson were Greg Erickson and Evan (Karen went to a wedding in Kansas City), Rob and Sherry Allen, Carly and Sadie. Saturday they attended the Molasses Days at Stillings. Aleshia came in the afternoon. Saturday was Joyce’s birthday. Happy birthday,  Joyce.
Visiting Bob and Nora Edwards during the week were Jacinda Edwards, Toby Sheppard, Shawn, Miranda, and Alexis Swearengin, Kirby and Mary Mackey.
On Monday, Nora Edwards and Nancy Barnes enjoyed spending the day with Harley, Irene and Kathy Davidson at their home in Crane, Mo. Nora, Irene, and Kathy used to work at Emerson Electric and attended church together several years ago. They also had lunch and celebrated Kathy’s birthday and did a lot of reminiscing while there. Bob and Nora Edwards, Jacinda Edwards, Toby and Dallee Sheppard, Shelden and Kendra Walker enjoyed spending Sunday afternoon in the home of Toby’s parents, Stacey and Ruth Sheppard. They were joined by several of the Sheppard’s family and friends for a fish fry with all the trimmings plus guitar and banjo picking and singing. Nora Edwards visited awhile on Saturday with Mike and Stacie, Mahayla, Miley, and David Hamby.
On Tuesday, I met Darlene Carnall and Wanda Andrews at the Ava Drug where we enjoyed a soft drink and visited. I later brought Wanda home with me to spend the night. We enjoyed visiting and laughing about old times. Wanda Andrews is my sister-in-law and is visiting from Kerrville, Texas.
I visited with Stacie, Mahayla, and little Miss Miley on Tuesday afternoon.
I helped my brother and sister-in-law, Vern and Kathleen with a food booth for Wilder Days, in Mansfield. We were really busy and enjoyed the time together.
Remember, What you do, do it right with the right attitude.
