Connie Johnson prayed for the requests that were shared as we began our Lord’s Day service. Prayer requests were for Elane Crum, John Watson, Wendy Donley, Katie Aid, Glendon Brown and our nation, leaders and military.
Happy birthday was sung to Trish Menzies and Rhonda Dobbs; just how many, girls? I don’t know.
Brad Siler and Stan Humbyrd, our two deacons, received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.
Testimonies were shared about our Good God and his great works among us. Chloe Wilson thanked the people for the prayers, visits and food for Judy Wilson and reported she is doing well.
Pastor Neal prayed and read from Isaiah 1:18, “Come now and let us reason together saith the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”; II Corinthians 6:2, “Behold now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation”; Hebrews 9:28, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many unto those that look for him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation”.
At 6 p.m., Pastor Neal prayed as we began with singing following closing. A praise was shared that Zella Menzies had her 93rd birthday last week. She is doing well at the healthcare center in Ozark. She hopes for seven more years of good health. A prayer request was given for Devin, who is having ear surgery. He is the great-grandson of Morie and Carol Wash. LeaAnn and Erin Crum did special music.
Van Menzies called upon his mother, Juanita, to pray as he began to read from James 2:14. He spoke of our faith by our works. Our faith is proven by our works. He also read from Titus, they professed that they knew God, but their works denied Him and Genesis 22. Abraham’s works proved his faith in God. He asked us, “have we given up on the names in our book on the altar?”
Brother Corby Lux was speaking at New Mansion Church for his first time. We are proud and praying for our new ministers.
There were nine men from the church working Saturday hanging sheetrock in the basement. They got the four classrooms and Pastor Neal’s office done. Next Saturday, they hope to finish. Praise the Lord. We are progressing.
Monday, September 20 from 5-8 p.m. a portion of the money at Pizza Hut went to Options Pregnancy Clinic. I know some from the church went to have supper.
Each Tuesday at 7 p.m. we meet for special prayer and each Wednesday at 7 p.m. for Bible Study in Genesis.
Come and worship with us. You are welcome.
