If you attended school at Walnut Grove, Silver Shade, Lone Star or Frye, you may want to attend the rural grade school reunion being held this Saturday, Sept. 25, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Ava.
The gathering will be a time of fellowship, and rural grade school stories, and everyone is urged to participate and reminisce about our “good old school days”.
The get-together is open to the public, and especially individuals that attended a rural grade school in this area or elsewhere.
Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., and lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish and favorite drink. Items such as coffee, tea, ice, and tableware will be provided.
The First Southern Baptist Church is located at 732 NW 3rd Avenue, just east of the Ava Pool.
