You should have been there, Saturday our ladies hosted a Women’s Prayer Brunch. There were fifty ladies in attendance and 16 area churches represented. The food was copious and delectable. Music and testimony by Nola Jean Moyer and an inspirational message from Maxine Lund were high points of the program.
Once again we had special guests, Bill and Sherrie Coats and Glen Dale Robertson. Bill and Glen Dale brought two very special songs of praise. Bill then gave us a presentation of the Gideons, whose plan and purpose it is to make the Word of God available to all in need. It was our pleasure to have them in our service and to be of some help in their cause.
The morning message was, “Follow Me,” beginning at Luke 9:23, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” From that foundation we continued to look at four other uses of the same command in other passages of scripture, which indicate we are to “follow” in consecration, dedication, identification, and separation unto the Lord.
Our evening message was about, “Four Important Things”. To think, love, act and trust in the Lord for our purpose and guidance in all things.
