Those going to Silvis, Illinois to help Juanita (Pool) Kazenske celebrate her 80th birthday were Gene and Rheba Pool, Lonnie Pool, John and Jo Stephens, Max and Kathy Stephens, Veda Bushong, Diana Davis, Donna Dodson, Michael Dodson, Debra Reed from Kansas, Keith and Melanie Breeding, Megan, Quin and Macee and Mike Strong from Hutchinson, Kansas.
Donna and Macee were here everyday this week.
Debra Reed of Kansas arrived here on Friday night and returned home on Monday.
Macee and Quin stayed with me Friday evening while Keith, Melanie, Reece and Megan went to homecoming. They also stayed Thursday evening while the others went to Reece’s football game.
I had four shingles blow off from the storm. I appreciate the one who fixed it for me.
We had so much fun helping surprise my sister, Juanita, for her birthday. Her children had everyone hide out except for her sisters and brother, which are Jo and I and Gene and their spouses, Rheba, John and their drivers, Max and Kathy, and Diana. We surprised her on Saturday evening. Everyone else went to Lenvel and Lynn Bushong’s for pizza. On Sunday Juanita was told she was going to a new place for lunch. Her grandchildren surprised her with a limo ride with two of her grandsons dressed in their uniforms for her escorts, which were Gary Martin and Rob Rogers. She took her sisters and brother and spouses with her on the ride. They enjoyed chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling grape juice on the ride. We drove around for an hour and arrived at the party where everyone was waiting. There were probably 200 people who came by. It was so good to see some old friend and family.
I appreciate her children, Lyle, Linda, Leland, Lenvel and Clinton and their families for including us in all the fun and wish Juanita many more birthdays.
