September 8 – Wednesday evening services began with singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley opened service by taking prayer requests. Jeff led us in prayer. Jeff read John 14:25-28 and 15:9-17.Two wonderful benefits that Christ gave us when He died on the cross for us were peace and joy. We can have them individually when we try to follow His commandments, only through Christ can we have these things.
It is so good to come together each week and learn how much Jesus loves us. It is good to hear others read scripture and tell how good God is to them.
Sunday school began with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were received. Bro. Hi Lambeth led in prayer. We had wonderful testimonies by Bro. Hi Lambeth. Jack read John 1:14-18 for devotion.
After a very good Sunday school discussion, happy birthday was sung to Hi Lambeth.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Those singing specials were Jim Lafferty, Melissa Harmon, and Boffmans. Bro. Don Boffman was our guest speaker this Sunday morning. He spoke from Romans 14:22 titled Example of Faith; Shunammite woman in II Kings, Abraham and Isaac, Genesis 22, Mary and Elizabeth in Luke.
Where is your faith, was his thought.
We were blessed to have this fine couple with us this Sunday. They are friends of Pastor Bill from the state of Washington.

Those singing specials were Charlotte Roberts and Jim Lafferty. Bro. Jim Lafferty was the speaker of the hour Sunday evening. He spoke from Job 30:25-26 and Hebrews 4:12. We are to discern good and evil and light and dark, only through Christ will we succeed, was his thought. Come be with us at Caney. You are welcome.
Sept. 15 – We came together at Caney Church singing. Bro. Jim Lafferty took charge of the service, taking prayer requests. Bro. Jack Essary led in prayer. Jim read several on the names of Jehovah; peace, love, shepherd, righteous, healer, sacrifice. There is only one God. He meets all our needs. He’s always there for us when we obey and call on Him. It was a very interesting study.
Sunday school opened in song. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Praise reports and prayer requests were taken. Sis. Lorrinda Coulter led in prayer. Jack read John 5:39-47 for devotion.
After a good Sunday school lesson, happy birthday was sung to Hunter Rogers. Sis. Melba Austin led the little ones in song. Jim Lafferty, Charlotte Roberts and Jeff Shipley all gave testimonies.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Charlotte Roberts, Melissa Harmon, Tabitha Kinyon, LeAnn Kinyon and Jim Lafferty all sang specials. Pastor Bill Austin spoke Sunday morning from I Corinthians 10:9-12, Luke 8:5-15, Psalms 137 and Luke 11:24. Have you turned away from God? Are we in Satan’s territory? Lets ask forgiveness and return to the Lord. Lets be careful that we don’t get led away from that beautiful promise, was his thought.

How often does man take credit for things God has done or cheat Him out of things that are His? We have forgot what Christ has done for us. We cannot out give God. We should remember to praise Him and thank Him, was his thought. Sis. Charlotte sang a song to close our services. We missed those that weren’t here. We’ve been looking for you to come be with us.
