Roy Hampton opened Sunday school by reading the third chapter of St. John.
Lee Hampton taught our lesson in Matthew 16, if you gained the whole world and lose your soul, you wouldn’t have anything. Joe Lafferty led the offering prayer and then questions and answers were read.
At 11:00 we had congregational singing and Susie Sisco sang. Arthur Hampton sang two songs. Joe preached on John the third chapter and led in prayer.
Lee Hampton dismissed in prayer. The evening service was few in number. The congregation sang and Joe preached on Psalms 14, 15 and 16. We then had testimonies and gathered around the altar to pray for the lost and the sick then were dismissed.
The Breedon School Reunion is Oct. 9, the second Saturday.
We all ought to be thankful for the Lord’s many blessings.
