The Ava High School FFA Chapter was chartered in 1935 and this year is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
Chapter advisors Brent Lakey and Tiffany Kauffman, along with members of the 2010 VoAg classes, are planning a special diamond anniversary celebration on Friday, Nov. 5.
All former Ava High School FFA members are invited to attend that event, along with members of the general public.
In conjunction with that celebration, the current chapter would like to hear from former FFA members whose lives have been impacted by FFA.
Former FFA members are urged to respond, by sending a note, letter or e-mail to:
Ava High School FFA
Attn: 75th Anniversary
PO Box 338
Ava, MO 65608;
Or e-mail: blakey@avabears.net or tkauffman@avabears.net.
If it is more convenient, letters or notes may also be dropped off at the Douglas County Herald.
Please send your note or letter as soon as possible as the FFA Chapter would like to include many of the responses in a special anniversary program prior to the event on Nov. 5.
The chapter would especially like to hear from any charter members who are still living, or family members of charter members.
Those whose names appear on the original charter are:
