At 11 a.m., Pastor Neal began by saying, “so glad you are here”. He prayed and read from Acts 17. Paul waited and his spirit was stirred. The U.S. is becoming a Mars Hill and where is the Apostle Paul today?
At 5 p.m., we came together for business with three items to take care of. Van Menzies is a candidate for licensing in our presbytery, Options Pregnancy Clinic was given our annual donation, and our building project financial report was given along with a project update. Van Menzies and Danny Johnson worked Saturday doing electrical work. Juanita Menzies did lunch for them. Stan Humbyrd mowed the lawn. Many are lending a helping hand. We are now ready for flooring in the sanctuary. Next Saturday, Brad Siler will lead a crew to hang sheetrock in the basement. To God be the glory; we are getting there.
At 6 p.m., we began with singing and prayer. Testimonies were shared by several. LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang for us. Van Menzies was our speaker. He said as he began, “I stand here because God is an awesome God”. He shared scriptures from the book of St. John about the love of Jesus and what He has done for us.
Items were collected for the backpack program at Plainview School.
Workers are needed for children’s church. A sign-up sheet is in the hall.
