What nice weather we are having after the rains. It reminds me of fall, which is just around the corner.
I had a call from my grandson in St. Louis. He said he planned to come down the first week of deer season. I hope everything works out for him.
I called to see how Mary Jones was doing. She lives with her son, Mike. She just isn’t doing very well. She is 92 or 93 years old now.
Those visiting me Sunday were Tony and Lisa Richards. They brought me a rat terrier puppy. A guy got it in Iowa for me. My sympathy to anyone that has lost a loved one. Bless our military and bring them home soon.
We were so appreciative for the rain, it put life in the grass again. I’m sure the cattle enjoyed grazing on the nice crisp grass.
We stopped to see how Peggy Jenkins was doing a couple of times last week at the nursing home. We stopped to visit with Helen Dobbins one day. She was sound asleep, so we didn’t wake her up. She called later and said she found some soup in the refrigerator and figured it was us.
Dick and I went to the visitation for Ray Johnson. Ray never got over the hip surgery he had a few weeks before he died. He married my cousin Ora (Jenkins) Stamper. She died a few months ago.
Kyle Thompson, my little grandson and I went fishing last week. We didn’t catch anything, but enjoyed the beautiful Beaver Creek.
Megan Cook brought us some squash last week. Since school started she hasn’t been riding her four-wheeler as much. We enjoy Megan coming by once in awhile.
Debbie Hall took her puppeteers to New Haven, MO. over the weekend. They performed in a large Christian Church there. There are nine puppeteers in the group. Danny Rasch is the van driver.
