Question of the Week 9-16-10

Every week, we ask area residents a question. The question may be serious, or it may be light-hearted. We will print the answers we receive here.

For this week’s question we asked:

Do you have a favorite fall festival? If so, what do you like about it?

Hootin’ and Hollerin’ in Gainesville. I like the countryness of it. – Connie Burris

I’m in the Art Guild, so I go to a lot, including Pioneer Days, Hootin’ and Hollerin’, and I used to like to go to Poke Sallet days when they had it. – Liz Jenkins

The Glade Top Trail Festival. – Oliver Jenkins

Hootin’ and Hollerin’. I live and work in Gainesville. I was actually one of the contestants in the very first one. – Louise Patterson

Apple Festival in Seymour. I like the country aspect of it. I also go to one in Ozark. – Anita Madche

Just Hootin’ and Hollerin’. I like the atmosphere. – Debra Dade

I go to Wilder Days. I like the atmosphere of it. – Jowanna Catt

Next week’s question is: Which pavement would you prefer for the proposed walking trail from the wellness center to the city park – a gravel, nature-like substance or asphalt or pavement? E-mail answers to whitney@douglascountyherald.com or call 417-683-4181.
