Our ice cream social turned out to be a real success. We did not have a big crowd, but we did have lots of good ice cream, cakes, cookies, brownies and pies. It was enough to feed an army. We were almost too full to sing, but we did. It was a nice time of fellowship. I am sure everyone there received a blessing. I sure did.
Sunday school was good. Our leader did a great job. We had lots of class discussion. We sang happy birthday to Sister Alice. Our little angel had a little prince to help take up the Coins for Christ this morning. Our little ones are such a blessing. They are our future.
It was time to sing for the Lord and the choir was in good shape that morning to do so. There is nothing like the good old hymns to sing praises to the Lord. We had some good specials too. Bro. Paul read from II Chronicles, chapter 16. God gave him a good message for us. We had a song of invitation and then closed in prayer.
We opened the evening service with our prayer circle. It was small, but the Lord was there. We had many prayer requests. The power of prayer is mighty when we join hands and go to the Lord in prayer. We sang for the Lord and had some good specials. Bro. Paul read from the book Hosea, chapter 14. We had testimonies and discussion concerning the word and our lives in Christ. How thankful we are for His love and blessings. We closed with prayer. Until next week, God bless.
