The 4-H club of Douglas County will be resuming dog training classes at the Ava City Park on Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
There will be beginning and intermediate obedience classes held on Thursday evenings through Oct. 27.
For those not previously registered, there will be a $12 charge. All dogs must have verification of current immunizations.
The class will meet regardless of weather. Anyone interested can meet at the upper pavilion of the Ava Park. All dogs must have on a collar and leash.
The summer class participants held a demonstration and class show at the conclusion of their course. The event was held for the benefit and enjoyment of the residents at Ava Place. Every dog competing scored a blue ribbon.
Plans are being made for a similar event at the conclusion of the fall class.
For more information about the class, contact 4-H leader Cleta Sweeney at 417-464-4545.
