The descendents of Simon and Margaret (Maggie Crawford) Buchanan met at the Ava Lions Club on July 17 -18, 2010.
Simon and Maggie Buchanan had 10 children: Vern, Lawrence, Versal, Gladys, Velma, Mable, Arthur, Lomus, Chalmer and James.
Making a special appearance were Ruby Buchanan, of Ava, and Lomus (Buchanan) Grubaugh who traveled from Springfield to attend the reunion.

A private auction was held Saturday afternoon with Randall Todd as the auctioneer. Items auctioned off were homemade crafts and old family items. Some of the younger members had a great time in the moon walk.
A large fish fry was cooked by Doug Miller for Saturday dinner.
The hosts of the reunion were Kristine Etling, Susan Cox, Brandy Swofford, Rick Lyons, and Sheila and Doug Miller.
The Next Buchanan reunion will be held in 2010 at Ava.
