“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand,” Rev. 1:3.
Brother Roy opened with prayer after singing by the congregation. He then read John 1:14-18 for the devotion and dismissed us to our classes.
We send birthday wishes to Danny Maggard.
Brother Kerry took up the tithes and offerings and Jacki and Preston did the penny march for Camp Piland.
Kerry and Dana sang a special for us. Pastor David used Psalm 76:1-3 for God’s message. Is God known? Is the known where we live? Is He still known in the United States? He has been pushed out of the schools. Schools were started to teach people to read the Bible. Our forefathers knew we needed God and founded our country under God. We need to defend God in our nation. It starts with us, can people tell we know God when we are out in public? Is God known in our homes? The most influence on our children is at home. God fights for us and will overcome any battle we face.
Our prayer request were for Wanda and family, Rick and family, Betty and family, Glenn and Louise, Tina’s uncle, Dana’s dad, Gene Pool, the bereaved, lost, church, nation, military and those traveling.
We were glad for our visitors and missed those who were gone.
Sunday evening worship began with singing. Kerry and Dana sang a special and Pastor David sang two specials accompanied by Kerry on the banjo.
We had good testimonies in both services. Pastor David preached from Colossians 3:1-10. We need to have a Holy ambition. God has something better for us than anything this world can offer. We should seek Heaven and start right now laying up treasurers there. This earth has nothing to offer that is worth missing heaven, only God can fill all our needs and give us peace. Only God lasts forever and ever. We need to walk with Him everyday here until we can walk with Him in heaven.
Wednesday evening Bible study is at 6:00. We are beginning Revelations. Come join us. The children have juice and popcorn and are learning the Ten Commandments this month.
May God bless you always.
