Ronald Dale Goin, 71, longtime resident of Warrensburg, Mo., passed away on Sept. 1, 2010 at his home.
Ronald was born on July 25, 1939 in Oldfield, Mo., the son of Truman W. and Golda (Scribner) Goin. He was united in marriage to Shirley (Coones) on March 23, 1978; they were able to enjoy over 30 years together.
Ronald was a faithful member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Warrensburg and was also involved in many other civil organizations. He was very active with the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, Ambassadors Club, Lions Club and was a member of the Warrensburg Country Club, where he became an avid golfer. Ronald also volunteered his time to be a Junior Achievement Leader. He retired as a car salesman in Warrensburg.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Truman Goin.
He leaves behind his family to cherish his memory, wife, Shirley of the home; daughters, Ronda Elliott and husband, Jeff of Ava, Mo., Deborah Snelson and husband, Gary, of Gainesville, Mo., Tonya Suzanne Riggs and husband, Jeramy of Warrensburg, Mo.; step-son, Jim Neil Cook and wife, Mary Beth, of Fairfax, Va.; step-daughters, Brandi Shalee Kavanaugh and husband, Matt, of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Ann Michelle Cook, of Kingsville, Mo.; mother, Golda Goin of Oldfield, Mo.; brother, Gale Goin and wife, Sue, of Oldfield, Mo.; sister, Roberta Patrick and husband, Mike, of St. Augustine, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services conducted by Pastor Rich Ricard were held at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Bethel Baptist Church, Warrensburg. Burial followed at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
