Hasn’t this cooler weather been enjoyable?
We were fortunate to enjoy the company of our second born granddaughter, Casey Lynn Barr over the weekend. Sunday morning we were joined by daughter, Shelley and son-in-law, Mark Adams. Everyone pitched in and prepared a wonderful late breakfast.
In the afternoon Muggs and Peggy Ramsey stopped by. Then Hurshel and Rena Smallwood surprised us with a visit. They are planning their “last yard sale.” Better not miss this one!
Matthew Lowe and boys, John Lowe and Charles Luallen worked our calves Saturday, taking advantage of the cool morning. Mike and Beverly Malberg shod horses for us in preparation for the annual fall trail ride in October.
Granddaughter Erin Pavlin has settled into college at Columbia and looking forward to participating on the volleyball team. Her mom and dad can’t seem to manage very well without her. The nest is just too empty! I remember how that felt! No fun. Then there’s our youngest granddaughter, Sara who is a senior in high school. Our nest is getting pretty empty, too.
Edwin Rogers and Rick Turkelson have finished their water pond project here at the house. If you’re in the vicinity stop by and see it. We’re quite pleased.
