Hello from our home to your home. We have enjoyed the fall weather this week. Residents have had several visitors during the long weekends. It is nice to see all the visitors in the building, taking pictures and talking about the past.
The Cooking Club met and had a wonderful morning making several different kinds of biscuits. The activity room was filled with the smell of garlic, parsley and cheese biscuits, blackberry jelly biscuits and just plain old biscuits served with butter and molasses. All the staff and residents enjoyed trying the different types of biscuits.
Connie Burris and Ruth Evans attended the funeral of Elva Clayton.
We appreciate Anita Kirkland for helping out with the tea party. Several ladies enjoyed the tea party with Amanda.
A group of residents enjoyed a trip to Ava Drug. Going on the trip were Norma Kennedy, Jean Morrissey, Maxine Lirley and Bonnie Pahl. Shelly Schroeder and Connie Burris accompanied the women. They enjoyed shopping and having a double dip of their favorite ice cream. Shelly was our driver and she took us on a tour around the schools and then to the new water tower that is being built by us.
The First Sonshine Group was here Friday morning and was well attended by everyone.
Our prayers and sympathy are with the families of Elva Clayton, Marchie Ray Johnson and James Taber. We will miss them. We would like to welcome Lois Fonter to our home.
Congratulations on Lyle Luellen on getting to go home.
Life Church was here for Sunday service. Larry Moore was here for Sunday school.
Judy Kent called games.
