Ozark Independent Living (OIL) will offer free-of-charge sign language classes from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays for six weeks, beginning Sept. 16.
The classes will be held at the Central Calvary Baptist Church, West Plains, located approximately 1 ½ miles west of Hwy. 63 on CC Hwy., with Sue Cawthron as the instructor.
The recommended book, “A Basic Course in American Sign Language,” will be available for $35 and may be picked up at the OIL office at 109 Aid Ave. Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
