If you were looking up in the sky this week, you saw one of God’s promises. It was a most glorious rainbow. It stretched from one side of the sky to the other and the colors looked so vibrant and just glowed. This was a rainbow that actually touched the earth and you could see the brilliant color prism through the trees, truly one of God’s miracles reminding us of His love and compassion for us.
It has been another busy week for us here on the mountain. Wednesday night we celebrated the birthday of one of the men of our church, Larry Hutchison, the big “70”. We had cake and ice cream after Bible study. Some of his grandkids – Jon, Lindsey, Deanna and some of the great grandkids came up to help celebrate. Jackie Nelson took her new grandbaby, Clayton (baby Jack) and two of her granddaughters up to visit lady Jane this week. From what I was told they had a good day.
Roger and Irene have been busy. Last weekend they went up to the Stained Glass Theatre and watched a performance, which was really good. The shows put on there are Christian based and this one was about the life of Jesus put to song. Saturday they went to Branson with Dustin, Tina and the girls to shop (the guys didn’t much care for that) and to a show and out to eat. Anytime you get to spend quality time with family, it’s a good time. This weekend Shawn, Miranda, Braxton and Alexis came out to eat lunch with them.
There are two ladies at our church going to have surgery before long so please keep them in your prayers. Donald preached his message this morning about if Jesus came through the cloud today, would you be ready to meet Him. In your heart you already know what your answer would be and if not, then it’s time to talk to God and get ready. The Bible says we know not the hour or the day.
Our church was thankful to have so many youth Sunday and if you have no one to pray for, please, pray for them that they make the right choices in life. Come join us for church, we would love to have you and more important God would love for you to be in church. Until next time, take time out of your day to be kind to someone you meet. You never know when a smile could lighten someone’s load.
