September 1 – Caney opened Wednesday evening in song. Sis. Reagan Sartin was the leader this week. Praise reports and prayer requests were given. Sis. Doris Lambeth led in prayer. Bro. Joe Sartin sang a special for us. Reagan read Joshua 3:1-17, “As we go through difficult times, if we put Christ before us, He will help us. Faith is all important, was her thought.
Sunday school opening with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests were taken. We have lots of illness, bereaved and lost in our community. Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer. Jack read Luke 20:34-40 for our devotion. Happy birthday was sung to Eugene Austin. He is ninety years young. We also sang happy birthday to Doris Lambeth. Happy anniversary to Rex and Kelli Clemans. God bless them. Sis. Tracy Shipley led the little ones in song. Testimonies were given by Charlotte Roberts, Melba Austin, Jeff Shipley, Elsie Combs, Lila Roberts and Eugene Austin.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Those singing specials were Kourtney and Gracie Shipley, Aspen Isaacs, Charlotte Roberts and Melissa Harmon. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from Mark 5:18-19, 24-30. God has blessed us in a great way. What has He done for you and are you telling others, was his thought. Service ended with Charlotte singing. It was a wonderful time with the Lord.

Our good pastor Bill spoke Sunday evening on where the Kings word is, there is power. Jesus is king of the Kings, Lord of Lords. He is all power. Pastor used several scriptures. The main one was I Corinthians 2:1-5.
