It was another beautiful day to worship the Lord. After Shirley led our hymns. Brother Roy read Luke 20:34-40 for the devotion.
Our prayer requests were: Glenn Simpson, Joe Lafferty, Wanda Goss, Dana’s dad, Gene Pool, Betty and her sister, Shirley’s boys and great grandchildren who were traveling, church, country, bereaved and unsaved.
Pastor David preached from Jeremiah 2:9-13 on Compromise. Do not compromise your relationship with God. Live for Him not for the world.
We sang happy birthday to Evelyn and Dana. We wish them many more.
Hunter and Preston sang and did the penny march for Camp Piland. Brother Kerry took up the tithes and offerings.
The children are studying the Ten Commandments.
We were glad for our visitors and missed those who were gone. We need your help.
Sunday evening worship began with singing. Kerry and Dana sang a special and Pastor David sang for us. He then preached from Psalm 63:1-11. God needs men and women full of the Holy Spirit and led by the Holy Spirit. When you are you will want to work for Him and be in His house every time the doors are open. When the Holy Spirit convicts us of our wrongs, we must repent. David was seeking God, the only true and living God. We should seek God everyday starting when we get up to thank Him for the rest we received.
We should thank Him for the new day we are given. Ask for the filling of the Holy Spirit, for power, for healing, for salvation for lost loved ones. Praise Him always for the true peace in our hearts that come only from Him. He protects us from evil. We should pray for our enemies lest they die in their sins for they shall go into the lower parts of the earth. It was a very good message to help us.
Join us at Black Oak if you have no home church. We are excited about God and what He is doing. Bible study is on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
May God bless you always.
