Local Ranch Featured In Magazine Travel Section As Special Destination

The September issue of Southern Living magazine highlights Bucks and Spurs Guest Ranch in Ava. In the article, the 700-acre ranch is noted for being located in the home of the Missouri Fox Trotter, “the Cadillac of trail horses.”

Bucks and Spurs Guest Ranch, owned by Sonny and Cecil Huff, is recognized in the magazine’s travel section along with six other places.  Each location is recommended as an “escape to a secret farm hideaway…  seven stays that tap into the romance of rural life.”

The Huffs, who provide guests with a genuine ranch experience, are complimented in every venue of the write-up –– from the ranch-style breakfasts, hearty dinners, trail rides and wiener roasts, to the hands-on working ranch experience for horse lovers, families, and city slickers.  Bucks and Spurs is the real deal.

This vacation destination offers the cowboy life without the “dude ranch drawbacks of big groups, and worn-out campfire tales”.

Bucks and Spurs Guest Ranch is located 13 ½ miles south of Ava.
