Personnel with the City of Ava Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a Boot Block at the junction of Highways 5 and 76 in south Ava Saturday in conjunction with the Jerry Lewis Telethon.
Personnel from Ava Rural Fire and Goodhope Fire Department have also been invited to help with the Boot Block.
Firefighters will be at the intersection from 8 a.m. until noon accepting donations from passing motorists. All money collected will be turned in to the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon.
