Wilburn “Red” Klineline, age 88, Ozark, passed away Friday, Aug. 20, 2010. He was born Feb. 12, 1922 in Ava, the son of Hubert and Lillian (McCrite) Klineline.
In 1942 he met Pauline Stafford at a square dance. On March 12, 1943 they were united in marriage and they continued square dancing until recently.
Red served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He later worked as a truck driver for Kraft and Lily Tulip until his retirement. Red was an avid fisherman and member of Wagon-Ho mule and wagon club.
Survivors include his wife Pauline, Ozark; two daughters, Fonna and Paula; his granddaughter, Kim; his grandson, Ken and also, Mike; three great-grandchildren, Kim, Jacob and Hannah; four sisters, Dorothy, Mildred, Virginia and Irene; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Red was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Alonzo “Pete” Klineline; a foster daughter, Betty; and Russell Klineline.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27 at Ava Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Terry Kendrick officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
