Rolla Pellham, the son of Samuel Pellham and Georgia (Griffith) Pellham, was born May 17, 1927 in Lutie Mo., and departed this life Aug. 20, 2010 at the age of 83 years 3 months and 17 days.
Rolla was a lifelong resident of the Ava and Goodhope area. He was employed with Emerson Electric and was also a beef farmer. Rolla and Louise Edwards were united in marriage on April l, 1983 in Bradleyville, Mo. He enjoyed gardening and keeping the yard.
Rolla was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Louise, and five children, Ilene Watson, Manchester, Kan., Bruce Pellham, Donna Williams, Carl Whitaker and Rick Whitaker, all of Ava, Mo; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Chloe Wilson, Ava, Mo.; one brother, Palmer Pellham, Ozark, Mo.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Comer and Rev. Harvey Scott officiating. Interment followed in the Union Grove Cemetery.
