Nell Alene Medlock, 69 years, passed to heaven on Aug. 20, 2010 at Ozark Riverview Manor, Ozark, Mo.
Nell was born Jan. 7, 1941 in Fresno, Calif., to Ralph and Lorraine (Penley) Grote.
She was a resident of the Wasola area for several years moving from her farm in the Sweden community near Ava.
On May 11, 1969 Nell and Irvan Medlock were united in marriage in Ava, Mo. Nell worked on the farm with her husband and enjoyed farm life. She was a Christian and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Vera Cruz. Nell enjoyed reading, crocheting, puzzles and video games. Most of all she loved being with her family.
Nell was preceded by her parents and her husband, Irvan Medlock.
Nell is survived by two children, daughter and husband, Wendy and Tim Thompson, Wasola, and son and wife, George and Dianne Bell, Kissee Mills, Mo.; three grandchildren, George D. Bell, Terry Bell and Keisha Thompson; six great-grandchildren, special family, Pat and Earl Pratt, Springfield, Mo., and other relatives and friends.
Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. Burial of Nell’s cremains will be in the Dobbs Cemetery at a later date and time.
