Guest Organist At Methodist Church This Sunday Night

The regular fifth Sunday singing at Ava United Methodist Church will be held on Sunday, Aug. 29, at 6 p.m., and will feature a guest organist from Springfield.

Daniel Hancock, a Douglas County native who graduated from Mtn. Grove High School, will be playing the church’s pipe organ.

Hancock attended Drury University where he received a degree in architecture and studied the pipe organ with Professor Erleen Moulder.

Daniel is currently working as an architect with the firm of Butler, Rosenbury & Partners in Springfield and is organist at Grace Methodist Church on South Jefferson in Springfield. He is also past president of the Springfield Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

The public is invited to attend this special program.
