REEDS SPRING – The criminal justice program at Missouri Southern State University is offering a Missouri P.O.S.T. certified 40-hour Advanced Law Enforcement training program this fall in Reeds Spring.
Sessions will be held at University of Missouri Extension’s Tri-Lakes Telecommunication Community Resource Center (TCRC) in Reeds Spring from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday evenings, Sept. 9 to Nov. 18.
This training is Missouri P.O.S.T approved training. For registration or additional information contact Brenda Spurlin at (417) 625-9511 or email registration to spurlin-b@mssu.edu
“We are pleased to offer this training to the law enforcement officers in our area by videoconferencing,” said Nellie Lamers, coordinator of University of Missouri Extension’s Tri-Lakes TCRC. “This training is designed so officers can obtain their P.O.S.T. certified hours without traveling a great distance.”
Departments can contract to send their officers to the entire training program or to select programs. Seating will be limited so it is imperative that you pre-register to ensure a seat for your officers.
The Tri-Lakes Telecommuni-cation Community Resource Center (TCRC) is located at the southwest corner of Reeds Spring High School. The center is open to the public and gives Missourians access to college classes for credit and continuing education, video-conferencing for individuals, businesses and organizations, computer classes, satellite downlinks, multimedia computer software, meeting facilities and Internet access.
