Dear Editor:
LOCAL: To begin this simple dialogue, we have voted in the primary election. The results were rewarding to some candidates and disappointing for others.
The votes were very close in a few cases, particularly pertaining to the question of prosecution. The future will reveal how well the “no deal” suggestion is applied.
We are expecting to see improved gravel surfaced county roads. The gravel which may be in one or both parallel ditches should be graded to the road surface. Large dimension rocks should be placed in large washed out areas.
STATE: The primary races enable several incumbents to retain their Congressional office. The Senate race, of course, will be decided in November. As negative conditions continue to plague the nation, more Republican candidates are expected to be elected. Former Senator Jim Talent related to me, upon my contact with him, “that MO is in a precarious position. Every conservative person, every Christian and every concerned person should be ready to defend our Republic; to refresh our memories about the Declaration of Independence, The
Constitution and the Bill of Rights.”
NATION: This subject is one which, to approach in detail, contains such critical, demanding circumstances that these notes would only touch the surface. In your past experience, whatever that may have been or in your adulthood known of any event which compares with prevailing conditions. In less than two years, this great nation has become libelous to disintegration.
You may wonder how much longer is he (myself) going to continue to rationalize, criticize, demoralize, and subject us to read his monologue. Well, I won’t apologize for I remember this great country from childhood. Those were days of mighty spiritual revivals when restitutions were made, apologies were in order. Living a Christian life was more than joining a church. May our nation arise to the challenge by honoring God and accepting Jesus as our savior for He is the only Hope of Eternal life and our entrance into Heaven!!!
