The Nubbin Ridge Club met Aug. 12 in the Bethany Baptist Church.
The meeting began with the repeating of the Club Collect, then several readings and poems were shared.
Norma read “Old Wives Sayings”; Nadine read “The Goose Story”; and Pat read “Blue Roses.”
Lois called roll with each telling their favorite summer lunch.
Minutes and treasurer’s reports were accepted as read.
The upcoming DOW Achievement Day was discussed. Ideas on decorating and the program, silent auction and foods were discussed.
Norma gave an interesting and helpful lesson on “Vinegars and Salads.”
Game winners were Nadine, Bobbye, Lois and Eva.
Those enjoying refreshments were Geraldine Gray, Eva Painter, Lois Strong, Pat Banks, Bobbye Priddy, Nadine Letsinger and Norma Stillings.
