The Missouri Association for Career and Technical Education annual conference in Springfield, Missouri, was held July 26-29, 2010.
At the conference LeeAnn Tomlinson was elected President/President Elect of the Missouri Educators of Family & Consumer Sciences, MoEFACS, division for the 2010-2011 year.
Tomlinson is currently employed by the Ava R-1 School District, where she is a Family & Consumer Sciences teacher.
In addition, Retha Weathers, also a Family & Consumer Sciences teacher at Ava High School, was elected Secretary of MoEFACS.
As President/President-Elect of the division, Tomlision will serve as a member of the Missouri Association for Career & Technical Education executive board.
A total of 11 divisions make up the association’s specialized groups within the field of career & technical education.
The Missouri Association for Career & Technical Education is an active group consisting of instructors, administrators, students and friends of career & technical education.
Missouri ACTE was founded 65 years ago and its purpose is to encourage further development and improvement within the fields of practical arts, vocational, career and technical education.
