Jeffrey Alan Potter, 44 years old, passed to heaven on Aug. 14, 2010 at Ava, Mo.
Jeff was born Aug. 6, 1966 in Kansas City, Mo., to Leonard and Deanna “Dee” (Hensley) Potter.
Jeff was employed with O & S Trucking as a truck driver for many years. On Sept. 19, 1992 Jeff and Jayma Valentine were united in marriage in Bellefonte, Ark.
Jeff was a veteran and served with the U.S. Air Force. He was a Christian and attended the Ava Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed playing softball, riding his motorcycle with his family and friends. Jeff was a loving and loyal son, husband, dad, pops, “Papa” and friend.
Jeff was preceded by his father, Leonard Potter, and his in-laws, Jim and Sue Valentine.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Jayma Potter, Ava; five children, Faron Breshears and husband, Jeff, Ava, Blake Potter, Turlock, Calif., Kelly Green, Ava, Marrissa Potter, Turlock, Calif., Ethan Potter of the home in Ava, and adopted son, Eric Moore; three grandchildren, Zachary, Deija Lou and Riley Jo; his mother, Deanna “Dee” Potter, Squires, Mo.; two brothers and their spouses, Richard and Molly Potter, Squires, Mo., and Greg and Lisa Potter, Bradleyville, Mo.; and special family friends, Sherry and Eric Guerin; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m., at the Ava Assembly of God Church, with burial in the Girdner Cemetery. Visitation was Monday, form 6 to 7 p.m., at the Ava Assembly of God Church. Officiating was Pastor Buddy Boyd. Memorials may be made as love offerings to the family.
