The following day, on July 31, at 7:20 p.m., Tpr. Vaughan investigated the crash of an ATV on County Road 435, five miles south of Ava.
The driver of the 2003 Honda, Christian E. Hutson, 29, of Ava, ran the machine off the road on a curve and struck a rock bluff. The driver, who was ejected from the ATV, was taken to Cox South Hospital, Springfield, with minor injuries.
