At the Aug. 3 Law Day in Douglas County, a number of individuals were sentenced to prison terms, according to information provided by Prosecuting Attorney Chris Wade.
Phillip Bea, 18, Ava, pleaded guilty to rape and forcible sodomy. He received 12 years on each count, with the sentences to run concurrently. By law he will have to serve a minimum of 85 percent of the sentence.
Patrick Reed, 54, Ava, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and received a seven-year sentence.
Ted Yeisley, 41, Nixa, received a five-year sentence in Douglas County for child molestation. This sentence is to run concurrently with a sentence for the same offense in Christian County.
Curtis Goodwin, 31, Sparta, received two years for possession of methamphetamine.
Jeremiah Kaberlein, 18, Ava, was sentenced to two years for violating his probation. He was on probation for property damage and stealing a firearm. He violated terms of his parole by using illegal substances and absconding from probation. His sentences are to run concurrently.
Joshua Hendricks, 30, Ava, was sentenced to five years for violating his probation by failing to obtain employment. He received five years on three separate drug charges, all to run concurrently.
James Simonsen, 32, Ava, was sentenced to five years for possession of methamphetamine.
Kimberly Williams, 25, Ava, received three years for passing bad checks.
Curtis Barton, 25, Ava, received five years for both burglary and tampering with a motor vehicle. The sentences will runĀ concurrently.
Gerald Schroeder, 18, Oldfield, received two years for resisting a lawful stop and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
Kathryn West, 54, Ava, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine and received a three-year sentence.
