The Doss, Dry, Thompson reunion was held Saturday, July 24, with 58 people attending.
Douglas Glenn and Floyd Vernon Dry had guest that flew up from Corpus Christi and Jasper Texas for the reunion. They were 1st cousins 6 times removed.
Johan (Hans) Georg (Durr) Dry (1674-1741) Baden, Germany and Margaret Clara Augenstein
(1687-1771) Baden, Germany had two son’s that came to the U.S.A., Johan George Dry (1725-1795), descendents took the Northern route. The Dry’s around Ava are descended from him.
The other son, Charles (Door) Dry (1735-1797), descendents took the Southern route these are the ones we have made contact with in Texas.
