The annual business meeting of the Ava Rural Fire Department will be held this Friday, Aug. 7, at 6 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Station.
Results of the election of two board members will be announced during the business meeting, which will be followed by a pork roast.
If you are not a member of Ava Rural Fire Department you can join on Aug. 7 for $50, a savings of $25 off the normal fee of $75. It is very important that everyone be a member of the fire department where they live. For more information call the non-emergency number at 683-2189.
Everyone is invited to attend the annual business meeting and pork roast dinner at the Mt. Zion Station of the Ava Rural Fire Department, located on Route B. Take Highway 5 north from Ava two miles to the intersection of Highways 76 and B. Turn left (west) on Route B for two miles to Mt. Zion Bible School. Follow the signs to the Fire Station.
Come expecting to enjoy yourself and have a lot of fun while at the same time supporting your fire department. Donations for the meal will be appreciated.
