Ava Public Schools will be holding pre-enrollment for new and transfer students Aug. 3 and 4.
This pre-enrollment is for students in kindergarten through grade 12.
This enrollment of students will be held at the Ava middle school/high school cafeteria, located behind the administration offices at 507 NE 3rd St.
Kindergarten screening will be conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 4. Call the elementary office at 683-5450 to schedule a screening time.
Enrollment will be conducted Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 3 and 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 to 3 p.m.
A representative from each building will be available and a school nurse will be on hand to verify records and help get the students enrolled.
The following items will be needed for enrollment: birth certificate, current immunization records, Social Security card (optional), proof of residence (utility bill, personal property tax receipt, etc.), and previous school records or last grade card, if available.
Classes will begin at Ava R-I Schools on Thursday, Aug. 12.
